Vacuum Presses:

Many manufactures of kitchens, outdoor cabins and other applications requiring several layers of thin material to be compressed together use vacuum presses. Using vacuum is also an idea way to laminate materials.

The best types of vacuum pumps to use depend on the size of the press. Generally an oil recircuating rotary vane vacuum pump (PVR Rotant) is best as this will run quite happily at ultimate vacuum. If the application is very small a venturi vacuum pump or a small dry running rotary vane vacuum pump may be used.
