| Vacuum lifting:Vacuum lifters come in many shapes and sizes. They can be tube lifters which often use a side channel blower. These can lift bags, timber, barrels etc. The machines usually have the side channel blower, filters, a vacuum relief valve as well as the tube and control head.
There are also lifters which have suction cups mounted on the lifting frame. The frame is used to support the cups, spring levellers, and the vacuum pump. The entire frame is usually lifted by an electric hoist.
The vacuum can be generated by venturi, by electric rotary vane vacuum pumps or by side channel units. The type of unit chosen is based on type of material being lifted, frequency of use and budget available.
The wood work industry uses these lifters to lift wooden sheets onto routers and the finished product off again. The chemical industry uses these lifters to move barrels for moving full bags. The steel industry uses the lifters to move sheets of steel.
