Thermoforming:The thermoforming industry uses vacuum in almost all parts of the process.The plastic pellets can be transported using vacuum. We can offer air driven units (venturi) electic units (side channel) or rotary van vacuum pumps for dense phase conveying. The plastic pellets (regrind) are processed into sheets of plastic. The plastic is heated and passed over a mould where the vacuum is then applied. The sheet is vacuumed (sucked ) into the mould and the shape is then formed. Common everyday containd such as disposable sandwich packs, toy packaging, toolboxs are all examples of this product. Even car dashboards are manufactured like this. The quality of the formed shape (definition) is affected by the level of vacuum. We usually recommend an oil lubricated rotary vane vacuum pump from the PVR rotant range for this appliaction. However if you have other brands of pump we can offer parts, vacuum filters, vacuum switchs and general advice to help improve your machine. |
